Course Living donor transplantation is a key part of restoring health in patients with severe kidney disease, liver disease or end-stage organ failure. Also, living donor transplantation of the uterus is a new option for women with absolute uterine factor infertility (AUFI or absence of a uterus). Nurses, clinicians, clergy and social workers play a pivotal role in communicating the living donor option to patients, families, friends and other potential living donors. This symposium will enhance knowledge of the clinical, financial, psychosocial, advocacy, ethical, quality and regulatory issues related to living donation. This event is for transplant coordinators, nurses, dialysis center care teams, social workers, clergy, physicians, ethicists and anyone with an interest in living donor transplantation.
